The Choui Fong Tea Story
The Ari Mountain region of Taiwan has been regarded as the best green tea producing country in the world for centuries.
Much of the expertise and knowledge of the tea growing and harvesting process developed in that region has been brought into Thailand and developed further by the Choui Fong Tea Company.
For nearly half a century, since the first oolong tea tree was brought into Chiang Rai from Ari Mountain, Taiwan, the Choui Fong Tea Company has been famous for production of the highest possible quality tea.
Choui Fong has grown to be one of the largest tea producers in Northern Thailand with over 160 hectares of plantation in three separate locations.

Tea Making Suggestions:
It is necessary to vary the water temperature to suit the different tea varieties. Green tea needs to be at about 80°C – Oolong Tea at about 90°C.
- Use 2-4 grams of tea per person.
- Pour 30cc of water at the right heat and drain after one second.
- Now fill the teapot and wait 3-secs to one minute
- Pour the first infusion into a tea bowl and then serve into the small serving cups
- It is possible to achieve 3-5 infusions from the one brew, but do not wait too long after the second infusion.
Tea flavour can vary greatly from water volume, temperature and length of infusion. Adjust each element to your own taste.
